Next Friday I’m taking part in the Power of One Day. More than 8,000 staff from Group M companies across APAC will be raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for this year’s chosen charity - the Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick. 

The Hospital has chosen some equipment for their Nephrology Department on their wishlist (nephrology looks after kidney transplants and treatments for children and small babies). So that means we’re hoping to raise over $35,000 to buy this much needed equipment. Phew!

All Sydney Staff will take part in an 8km walk. The walk will go from the office over the harbour Bridge, around the Rocks and back to North Sydney. This is me asking you to sponsor me in this walk.

2. I’m attempting to give up alcohol for 3 months without convenient cheats like a Golden Ticket
3. It allows me to continue donating to other worthwhile causes like SIDS and Kids Qld, Cystic Fibrosis Qld and the Cancer Council

5. It’s a damn good cause and you know exactly where the money is going which can be such a point of contention with fundraising these days

It’s very easy. Visit the Mindshare Sydney Everyday Hero page or get straight down to business and donate now. Choose my name from the Team Member list (Bateson, Mandi - 7th in the list so easy to find) and include your name if you want a chance of winning the role of costume creative director. 

The person with the highest contribution by Wednesday will then get creative control over my costume for the walk. I have the right to refuse many many possibilities including anything offensive (including nudity) however if you know me you’ll know I’m a pretty good sport and have willingly made a fool of myself on many an occasion.
